Benchmark · September 2026
Every part we test, not just the good ones.
18 parts, each packed on the same Bambu Lab H2D plate twice: once by Bambu Studio's auto-arrange, once by Pack3D. Same part, same plate, same scale. The smallest gain is still +29%.

How we measured.
Both tools get the same file, the same plate and the same scale. Each fills one plate with copies of a single part.
Why the gap is this largeOverhangs nest. Outlines alone can't.
- Plate
- Bambu Lab H2D, 350 × 320 mm
- Compared with
- Bambu Studio 2.2.2 auto-arrange, default settings, rotations allowed
- Pack3D
- The settings a customer job runs with, then 10 minutes of Pack denser, with 0.1 mm clearance between parts
- Scale
- 100%, except 5 parts scaled so a plate holds 10 to 60 copies (shown on each tile)
- Positions searched
- Every spot on the plate at each of 360 angles, 1° apart: 7 million per part, the median of the 18
- Checks
- Every Pack3D plate was measured on the meshes themselves: no overlaps, and at least 0.1 mm between parts at every height.
